Klicka Scholarship Winner 2008 |

| The North Park Community Association is proud to announce that Shela Tat was selected as the winner of the 2008 NPCA/Klicka Family Foundation scholarship. Shela has lived in North Park for more than 13 years. She attended Jefferson Elementary, Roosevelt Middle School, and the School of International Studies at the San Diego High Educational Complex. She is currently a senior and has earned a 3.6/4.0 GPA. |
Shela has extensive community service experience. She is a member of the Save the World Fridays club at her school and volunteers for the North Park Community Association. She has assisted with numerous school events, charity walks, and clean-ups. Shela says that volunteerism has increased her self esteem and made her more social. Shela is a first-generation American and will be the first in her family to attend college. She intends to attend San Diego State University to study business administration. Her career aspirations include working as a university professor or a fashion designer.
